  • Sep 2002 to present MWDN Ltd Israel, UK, Ukraine

    Establishment and management of MWDN Ltd and management of its major projects (Lincafe and CardioWiz). MWDN Ltd is British company which operates R&D in Ukraine for its international customers. Our core competence is to perform outsourced projects in the areas of core business of the customer (which are usually hard to outsource). At this position I performed product management of two projects, project management, building and managing of two teams (8 people and 9 people) with team leaders, participating in architecture development, demonstration and deployment of the product, crafting unique development process (partially RUP and partially XP).

  • Nov 1999 – Sep 2002 Medcon Ltd – Connectivity manager (Israel, US)

    This position included establishing and managing Medcon Ltd connectivity department (turned to be Medcon Project Department), which provided whole range of connectivity and integration services to the customers of Medcon Symphony product line (cardiac department information system). Connectivity team developed infrastructure for building cardiac department workflow and integrating with other relevant systems, which included HIS, CIS, hemodynamic and electrophysiology, order management, scheduling, billing, inventory management, ACC, STS and other clinical registries. Links were established using HL7, DICOM, MML (Japan) standards and proprietary interfaces. Technically we used VC++/DCOM/.NET/VSS, SQL Server, DTS, ADO and ADO.NET, BizTalk and XML database tools. I was also responsible for product definitions, per-customer project management, on-site implementation and customization, RFP/RFI preparations, sales training and marketing materials preparation, customer collaboration, support, software demonstrations, internal development process integration and coordination with respective system vendors. Approximately 50% of this time I spent at major US hospitals and another half of the time in management of the team and coordination of delivery of the product to the customers. During those two years we turned “island” non-customizable system into the product with connectivity and workflow design as its primary competitive advantage. My major achievement was establishment of project department in 100% product-oriented company and development of adequate development, deployment and maintenance processes for project team. At this position I experienced implementation of XP programming techniques and Agile methodologies, project management and its tools, gained documentation and customer communication skills, requirement gathering and analysis.

  • Aug 1998 – Sep 1999 - Mint Technologies (acquired by Sungard Business Integration) – software developer and designer (Israel)

    Participated in design and development of MINT Rule Manager™ – interface engine for transformation between various financial messaging formats (e.g. SWIFT, FIX). Rule Manager™ is most easily described as BizTalk Server for banking industry with multiplatform runtime environment. At this position I first experienced with design patterns, software development process engineering, Visio and Rational Rose, relational database design, Oracle, Java, Windows and Unix OS internals, ODBC, RogueWave DB access tools and work with worldwide customer base as well as product lifecycle and Rational Unified Process. We developed and deployed Rule Manager Interface Engine using VC++, native C++ of Sun Solaris, IBM AIX and HP, oracle 7 and 8 on all of those environments. I have also built automated development environment using VSS and Rational Clear Case.

  • June 1996 – June 1998 Webdreamers – Software developer, TCP and networking specialist (Israel)

    Bespoke software development and network troubleshooting for small to mid-sized businesses. Object oriented development with C++, VC++ on Windows and Linux, ASP and IIS, Visual Basic, Access DB. HTML and DHTML, TCP/IP stack, communication protocols, WINSOCK API, WinAPI. At this position I was just a software developer and developed applications for small to mid-size businesses in Israel.

  • Education BA of economics and management from Israel Open University. Certificates: MCSD, MCSE, MCDBA, SCJD, CCNA, working toward PMP and CISSP. DICOM classes from Merge (one week of training). HL7 classes from HL7 committee (one week of training). Advanced OOD/OOA (5 months training)
